Perform a variety of records management duties to maintain the Borough Records Management program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform file maintenance, database input, document preparation, and microfilm and imaging duties in accordance with Borough Records Management policies and procedures.
Perform various clerical duties required to update the appropriate logs, databases and indexes.
Assist other departments and Record Coordinators in preparing boxes for transfer and storage, which may include physically lifting material, utilizing a forklift and other warehouse equipment. (Administration & Finance ONLY)
Prepare boxes for transfer and storage, which may include physically lifting material. (Planning Department ONLY)
Perform hardcopy document preparation services for microfilming and scanning.
Perform routine physical equipment maintenance according to manufacturer’s recommendations including cleaning lenses, vacuuming scanners and cameras, and cleaning and recharging of microfilm processors.
Research and retrieve documents requested by various departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of North Slope Borough organizational structure, operations, policies and procedures.
Skill in oral and written communications.
Skill in operating and maintaining micrographic and imaging equipment.
Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses Required:
High school graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
One year of clerical and computer experience;
Valid Alaska Driver’s License that meets NSB insurance criteria;
Demonstrated ability to lift 70 lbs regularly.
