Organizational Objective / Goal
Provides full service support and services for all events on the UMW main campus, Jepson Alumni Executive Center, Belmont, and Stafford Campus. Supply support for all conferences on UMW main campus & Stafford Campus. Supply all support and services to the Office of the President regardless of venue.

General Description of Position
Provide audio visual set ups and services for all events scheduled by the Events AV Office. Install, Maintain, and update application software and hardware on all Events AV Office equipment. Assist with troubleshooting and running all Audio Visual equipment in Dodd Auditorium. Provide technical advice, and information concerning logistics for events/programs. Execute recording and editing for all Music Department recordings in Dodd Auditorium. Assist in recommendations for future acquisitions of AV equipment.

Required KSAs / Competencies / Qualifications to successfully perform their work
Skilled in the operation of audio visual equipment including analog and digital sound mixing consoles. Strong organizational skills required to meet scheduling requirements within finite AV resources. Knowledge of PC and Mac computers.

Preferred KSA’s / Competencies / Qualifications to successfully perform the work
Skilled in the maintenance of audio visual equipment. Knowledge of PC and Mac computer software applicable to the AV industry; Logic Pro, Wirecast, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office, etc. Experience with Video recording and editing

Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent training and experience

Required Experience
Experience in the field of AV support and set-up.

Preferred Education
2 or 4 year college degree in the area of audio/sound with concentration in sound reproduction.

Preferred Experience
Experience with Digital Consoles (all types), Crestron Control systems, Live music mixing, basic knowledge of maintenance of Audio-visual equipment.

Required Licensure
VA Driver’s License
